@Surcrit Sonic Syndicate is Emo Pop music/Metalcore and far from Melodic Death Metal..... Just listen the song "Turn It Up".....it sounds like a Lady Gaga song. Ok the first album of them was decent but never real Melodic Death Metal. After 2005 they changed to Emo Pop music.

In my humble opinion the more clean singing u put on a Melo Death Song The more u screw it but ok that's just my taste I feel like a prefer the Gutural Sound to be able to actually label it as melodic DEATH metal

Rope had a cracked calis and shit, yet he still fucking played like a mad man. They threw out picks but I never cought one. =/ Regardless, I got to shake their hands. No weak shakes either. Rope's finger was bleeding too. lol They loved my hoodie. I'd love to go see them again when I get money.

@Fury165 im not trying to sound like a dick or anything but what about bands that do something almost totally new or just didnt get the influence from older bands of the genre. For example how death metal/heavy metal actually (the original bands at least and most new.) Got most of their influence from the blues, like the tempos and the scales etc so the death metal credit goes to blues artists? Im not guna say they deserve the credit for the success of death metal bands, but then again thats IMO

Iron Maiden technically is metal...Its not like metal is today but back in the 80's they were very heavy, Iron Maiden back then was heavy like COB is now...Music changes it gets heavier
